From the 7th of december until january 7th this year, the Città dei Balocchi will make a triumphant return to Cernobbio thanks to "Como Turismo Consortium" and their event organization. The projects and attractions are numerous and target people of all ages, but especially children and young girls, to create magical experiences they will remember fondly for a long time. The locations where these activities will take place are: Villa Bernasconi and Villa Erba the villages of Piazza S. Stefano, Rovenna, Piazza Risorgimento by the Lake and the Old Town.

In Piazza Risorgimento, you can find the ice-skating rink, with the famous Christmas tree by the shore. The rink is surrounded by Christmas markets that offer a wide variety of typical local products and winter delicacies. The advent calendar, with the addition of lights along the whole lake, adds to the magical atmosphere of the square.

Inside an igloo in the gardens of Villa Bernasconi, various shows and forms of entertainment for all ages will be held. This igloo is a remarkable project that combines advanced technology and architecture. A new initiative is the City of Joy Passport, with which children can explore the city and collect stamps for various activities and stops. Another religious attraction is the holographic nativity scene, which will be organized inside the igloo. The workshops are an essential part of the activities organized, as they involve elementary and middle school children from Cernobbio, and they are open to the public during weekends. These workshops include puppet shows, artistic laboratories, food education workshops, street artists, performances by Circus Navigando and much more.
The latest ARLOOPA app will allow you to use augmented reality in some points of the parks. Children can be entertained with these modern tools and interact even with a virtual Santa Claus!

It is reassuring to know that the light project decorating Cernobbio is entirely made of environmentally friendly, low-consumption, and low-impact materials. The lights can be seen at Villa Bernasconi, where there will be a colorful architectural projection with mapping, the Palazzo Municipale, where there will be colorful light games, even more spectacular at night, and in Piazza Risorgimento by the Lake, where you can admire the spectacular advent calendar, as well as games of light and projections on the trees, in the historic center and in the photo sets for souvenir photos.
